Claire Upson is a Podiatrist, registered with the HCPC and a member of the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists. She qualified with an honours degree from the University of Northampton in 2007 and since then has worked in private practice in Bristol and Bath. Having recently relocated to Cambridge, Claire is now working from the Spinal Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, on Gilbert Road.
As a podiatrist, Claire can diagnose and treat many different conditions of the lower limb and foot, from painful corns to diabetic foot care. She can also carry out biomechanical assessments, involving gait analysis, in order to identify problems with foot posture and function. Such problems can often be alleviated using orthotic insoles, with resulting improvement on the lower limbs, pelvis and lower back.
Don’t be embarrassed about your feet! Claire’s friendly and professional manner will put you at ease. She can help you to make your feet feel and look better and often, improvement is noticeable after one treatment. She is also very interested in footwear and having had many years experience is shoe retail, Claire is able to give you in depth advice about shoe fitting and manufacturers.
When not looking at feet & shoes, Claire enjoys horse riding, cycling, cooking and eating out.
